One, if not the most reliable regions for snow in the Alps, it offers challenging deep-snow runs, numerous patrolled off-piste itineraries, various snow parks and some of the best off-piste skiing in the world. Skiing in the Arlberg region is truly breath taking and near unparalleled in terms of quality. For snowboarders in particular, the Arlberg is about as close to snow paradise as you can get.

Kids & Family is the best combination with Arlberg

The entire Arlberg region is ideally suited for families with children, both in winter and summer, though naturally the variety of terrain and slopes on offer make some resorts better suited than others. St. Christoph, Stuben, and Wald with their higher number of beginner and nursery slopes and wide open runs are particularly well suited to families with young skiers.

Ski schools – The perfectly groomed slopes of the Arlberg offer excellent conditions in which to learn how to ski. As you’d expect the cradle of Alpine skiing, has the high standards and range of ski schools and instructors you’d imagine, and they cater to every age and ability.

It’s not all about skiing and boarding in the Arlberg though and the conditions are ideal for a wide variety of alternative winter activities suitable for families and children.

Horse-drawn sleighs in Lech – whether by day or at night a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh is sure to delight.

Tobogganing in Zürs – for the mini would be tobogganists, the small trochanter in Zürs just behind the Hotel Edelweiß offers the ideal place to learn the ropes.

Ice skating and curling in Lech – the Hotel Jagdhaus Monzabon possesses the first and only air-conditioned hotel ice rink in Europe, offering 300m2 of ice to enjoy for ice skating and curling.

Indoors sporting activities – With a massive array of options from cycling, to tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, handball, table tennis, ten pin bowling, climbing, bouldering or slacklining indoors sports are more than covered in the Arlberg.
