    Ancient Alpine heritage

Chalet 1393 dates back over 600 years to 1393 when the Walser people from Switzerland first settled the Arlberg and Tannberg region. Little could they know then that the hard mountain terrain would end up being the Alpine playground it is now.

The chalet has undergone a careful, beautiful restoration and extension by architect Matthias Hein using natural Tyrolean building materials. Pine wood is artfully combined with the centuries-old spruce of the original structure and its exposed beams to create an oasis of Alpine calm. From the stove in the kitchen designed with KARAK tiles from Vorarlberg to the “Slow Light” lighting concept of the house created by the artist Siegrun Appelt Chalet 1393 is special by any and every measure.

Caretaker Papa Chadha is on hand to guarantee that everyone feels at home whatever the request. Be it private ski instructors, guided hikes or a nice evening in the center of Lech, or organising a fully catered evening of fine dining in the chalet he is there when you need him to make your visit truly memorable.

From its stunning location in prestigious Oberlech you can enjoy the panoramic views of the mighty mountain peaks of the Arlberg and Tannberg area stretching up some three thousand metres. Offering some of Europe’s very best snow-covered slopes in winter to verdant green meadows and Alpine forest in the summer there’s something for everyone whichever season.
